The Prosperity Partnership is a coalition of over 250 government, business, labor and community organizations from King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties dedicated to developing and implementing a common economic strategy. Our shared goal is two-fold: long-term economic prosperity and 100,000 new jobs for the central Puget Sound region.

Featured 2008 Action Item: #3 – Increase the international awareness of Washington's clean technology industry by organizing a delegation to the GLOBE 2008 Trade Fair and Conference in Vancouver, B.C.

In March, the Washington Clean Technology Alliance (WCTA), the first ever clean technology industry association in Washington state, led a delegation of 30 businesses and organizations from the state of Washington to GLOBE 2008 - one of the largest and most renowned environmental business trade shows in the world.

Washington was by far the most represented of all US states and the Washington State Pavilion was one of the highlights of the show. The event was a huge success for the state, demonstrating the growing strength of our clean technology industry cluster and building business opportunities for our companies. This effort was accomplished through strong collaborations among WCTA, PSRC, enterpriseSeattle, WA Dept of Community, Trade and Economic Development, City of Seattle, and companies such as McKinstry, Mithun and Leader International.

WCTA also debuted a ten-minute film entitled “The EverGREEN State: Washington Clean Tech at Work.” To view that film, click below.
